Palladium is a lustrous silver-white metal of the platinum group. When comparing it to platinum, it is slightly whiter, about 12% harder, and found at a sharply lower pricing point. It is more precious than silver and offers some of the same metal working properties as other jewelry metals - yet remains tarnish free. It has been used as a precious metal in jewelry since 1939.
